Ok, it been a long time again! These are pictures from the summer..we did lots of things. We had one of my nephews, Luke, out for 3 weeks, we spent a lot of time at the beach and the zoo.
Anyway, whats going on now. Sean is still working for Northwest Newborns and enjoying his job...he works lots of hours but does still make time for the family. I am working PRN as a nurse in the peds heme\onc, in addition I am working on getting my Oregon PNP licensure..so I am also (working for free) at a pediatric clinic...I should be done with this around feb\march ish...then I will just be working as a PNP, but not sure where yet.
Serena is getting ready to turn 3 years old. She just started preschool, its 2 days a week for 2.5hrs...not much, but a start...she is LOVING it!! She also just started soccer and swimming lessons. She keeps asking for gymnastics (which is a girl just like her mommy) but we wont start that until soccer is done. Seth is almost 18 months old and growing like a weed...he just started Gymboree and he LOVES it...he goes crazy when hes there..running around like a crazy man!! We are adopting a new cat (this will make 3) that has seem to adoped Serena and she loves her, her name is Sitka. And for Serenas birthday, she recieved fish!! To help Sean and I out with our chaotic schedules is our Nanny Elena....we could not survive without her and our kids wouldnt be able to do half the things they do! We LOVE her.

Ok, So its been a little while...Sorry, life is busy! SO, quick run down of whats been going on this year. Sean is still working for Northwest Newborns and loving his job, he had his review and they love him too!! I started working at a local Childrens Hospital in Peds Heme\Onc PRN so its nice to be back to work once in a while. We put the kids in daycare in Janurary, that lasted 2 weeks, pulled them out and hired a nanny for 2 days a week. She was wonderful but recently just left us, so we are now on nanny number 2 and she seems amazing!!! Trying the keep the kids busy, we go to Pump It Up to burn energy. We have season passes to the Zoo and the Childrens Museum. We also just went to a theme park for littler kids called The Enchanted Forest.....awesome!! Serena likes roller coasters!! Last week both on the kids fell on seperate occasions and both chipped teeth.....Seth;s is much more noticable than Serenas but they both went to the dentist and all is good. On that note, Serena had her first cleaning and NO cavities and she did awesome! Serena talks a mile a minute, l,ove to sing and dance and rides her 2 wheel 'skuut' bike very well!! Seth has been walking for a while and is jabbering, says mama and dada, waves bye and can go down the slide on his own. Hope all is well with all. I hope to post more after Seths birthday this weekend.

Out trip to Missouri was exhausting and we did not get to see all everyone we wanted to, so for those of you we did not see...we are sorry!! The flight out was pretty good, both slept and were well behaved...the way back, well thats the opposite story.

This is the first year Serena went out and Trick or Treated. She was so funny!! She did really well most of the time saying Trick or Treat, then she would say Thank You So Much after getting her candy. When walking away from the house she would tell us she needed to go to another house to get more candy. Towards the end, someone opened the door and we asked her , What do you say?? She shouted at the person, "Need More Candy!!!" It was soo cute, it made the guy at the door laugh, he said well for your honesty, you get 2 pieces of candy. Preparing during the day. Since she can't carve a pumpkin I had her paint gords, she did a beautiful job.

Until she decided to paint her lips!!!!

Nana brought her doughnuts instead of candy for Halloween....Serena was in heaven!!

Serena is potty trained...she poos in the potty, gets up at night and goes pee and I don't have to ask her all the time if she needs to go...she just goes...2 weeks with no accidents!! Seth is officially crawling....he is all over the place just trying to keep up with his big sister!

Sorry, yet again for the delay!! So whats been going on. Serena turned 2yrs old, there are pics futher down. I interviewed for a job in a peds heme\onc clinic. Serena had her first preview of school. Both of the kids just had a well child checkup. Serena is 2 yrs old, weighing in at 26lbs, and is 80cm (about 50% for ht and wt). Seth is weighing in at 18.2 lbs, and is 70 cm. I just wanna throw in there that Serena weighed 19 lbs at 1yr!! So both are growing very well!! Sean just had an annual review from his work and things are going great and he is well liked! There is talk about him moving up to Portland in the future....hopefully not too soon...we are just getting settled here! We are keeping busy and keeping the kids busy. Everyone have a safe Halloween and I will post their costumes after Halloween.

This is Serena before I took her to her first day of school....it was just for an hour and a half and I was in the building the whole time, when I returned to her room, she never even missed me!! I guess this will be harder on me than on her. My goal is for the kids to eventually go to school (daycare) 2 days a week so I can return to work a little bit.....we are working up to it. I'm having a little bit of trouble letting go.

The last month has been crazy busy with company and keeping up with the kids...but a quick update. We sold the house in KC....finally!!!!!!!! Seth is now commando crawling, getting up on all fours and rocking and he has 2 teeth!! He also is eating ceral and today I just started him on sweet potatoes..he liked it!! Serena is talking in full scentences, still into everything imaginable, loves to entertain her little brother, and we are currently preparing for her 2ed birthday party!!! Everyone take care! More posts to come after the party. Oh, and my beloved kitty of 13yrs just went in this morning for surgery, she has breast cancer.

Just pretty...these Pics are at the Geoge...and they come with a story...So, Sean told us all we may get our feet a little wet and to bring sandles. So after the big hiking we traded out shoes and all went to this area that had a giant dam made of logs that we first had to climb over...after that, we had to cross FREEZING cold water that was WAIST DEEP to get to the back of the gorge to see the waterfall! I thought he said our feet would get wet!! When we confronted Sean on the misconception he just said that he figured if he told how wet we would really get we would have gone!! Thats my husband...hes wonderful and thats why we love him....it was a lot of fun!

Seans cousin Rachel was married in August and it was the first wedding that Serena and Seth attended....My little girl danced the whole time and entertained many. The wedding was beautiful and the weather was awesome...Congrats guys!! My friends, Brooke and Mike, came out here to Oregon to get married and my mom graciously came out for the week to watch the babies so we could all go tour around and have some fun. THanks MOM!!!!! Lisa and her family came out to visit us for a week. We stayed busy in the heat but had a lot of fun watching the kids interact together. Luke spent a lot of his free time playing World of Warcraft with Sean. They also spent a day together at Bullwinkles, playing lazer tag, go carts, mini golf, bumber boats, ect. We all went to the beach, the aquarium, a brewery for lunch, Silver falls, and we had backyard pool time. It was fun to have everyone here, lots of fun!!!

Sorry, I will try not to let that much time lapse inbetween posts again. Here is whats been going on in our lives. We are finally in the final stages of closing on our house in KC. I passed PNP boards, so I will starting the processes of completing my CV and looking for a job 2 days\week. I do have childcare lined up for the kiddos...tentitive start date is Oct 2. Seth is rolling from front to back and loves to play with toys on the playmat, he also is fond of his fist...constantly sucking on it! Which is good, because Serena is constantly stealing his pacey. He also recently laughed out loud and found his feet...something new to play with. Little Miss Serena is keeping us busy climbing everything in sight, a few to name: her play kitchen, into the windowseal, her changing table, into Seths bassinet, on the barstools onto the counter, oh and yes, baby gates!! She is talking non-stop, she makes 3 word scentences on a regular basis and she has recently named all her babies.....her favorite being Baby Rachel....it is so cute to hear her call for her. Sean is keeping busy at his job and trying to do a little yardwork on the side, not to mention all the little projects I have for him around the house. Its a busy life but we love it!!

So in June, while Sean worked, the kids and I took a little trip to the beach with the neighbors boys with their mom and grandma! It was awesome! The kids where wore out everynight, it was non-stop partying, kid style.

This was my first time making play-dough...it turned out pretty good!! Fathers Day Morning...both of the babies!! Serena going around all morning (and for several more days) saying, "Happy Daddy Day".

This is what Serena does when she doesn;t get her way. She lays herself down (most of the time, she had learned throwing yourself down tends to only hurt her) then starts crying.

Sorry, I know I have been a slacker, let me try to fill you in on what has been going on the past 6 weeks.

The beginning of June we had our first family vacation with 4 people. We went to the beach in Lincoln City, OR where Serena played in the puddle the ocean left behind and we searched for sea creatures every morning. We also went to the Aquarium...Serena loves it and Seth enjoyed himself too. We let him face outward in the baby bijorn for the first time and all those swimming fishies wore him out!!

We had a Missouri like storm here the other day and it took out 2 of our neighbors trees and they landed in our yard...good times!

So a quick up date of recent events in our lives. Serena is officially pacy-free and has been for about a week and a half and she is doing great...she does try and steal Seths pacys and she tried sucking on the pacys that came with her baby dolls but slowly she is learning not to take Seths and I removed all the pacys from her dolls!
Seth just had his 2 month check up and is measuring around the 75%...he seems so much bigger than that!! He is doing great! He is so laid back and relaxed...it is so nice.

Here Serena has bandaids on both arms because she had labs drawn and the nurse missed the first time....Mama NOT happy!!!

He is so cute.

This day at the Zoo went much better! This time we put Serena in the backpack and there were no injuries. Here are some of the animals we saw at the Zoo. This first one you can;t see very well, but it was one of Serenas favorites.

Everyother Sunday or so, Seans parents, Carmey and Larry come down to enjoy some time with their grandkids. On this particular day, great grandma and Chi and Alison also were there.

ER visit #2, and pediatric dentist

So just when things were getting good at the Zoo, Serena took a tumble and caught herself with her face on the assfault. There was a lot of bleeding, followed by a trip to the ER and to the pediatric dentist. No stitches and her teeth should be fine, may become a little discolored, but they are just her baby teeth! Poor little baby, she looked so bad. Her diet for the next couple of days consisted for popsicles, jello, and pudding.

The neighbors set up their pool and had a pool party for the kids. Serena loved it, she was in the pool from 930am to 430pm with about 1.5hr break...she is a little fish.

Our first ER visit

Serena smashed her thumb in a heavy oak cabnet...it was awful to see her thumb stuck and me having to come open it to get her thumb out. There was lots of blood! We took her to a local ER where she needed 9 stitches in her little thumb. It was so sad! The worst part of all this is trying to keep a bandage on to keep it clean. We wrap it for meals, only take sponge baths, no swimming or gymnastics for a few weeks, it just sucks!! And Sean and I go in tomorrow to the hospital for me to have a C-section. Our poor little baby and her owie!! Bleeding through already.This was the first dressing change, since then it has turned much more purple.

I'm pretty sure she is going to loose this nail.

I started by just giving her pudding to mix up, but she kept eating it with her hands. SO, I gave her whole oats with water and let her mix it then play with it...she had so much fun. The mess wasn't that bad, plus I was able to get dinner cooked and she was entertained.

Since we are not looking to get formal living room furniture any time soon, I decided to make good use of the space and set up a play area for Serena. We are also getting a small play structure with a slide to go in the middle. She loves it.
