Jan. 28th

Today was a big day for me. I rolled from back to belly for the 1st and 2ed time. I really got this rolling thing figured out, next is sitting! I also had my 4 month appt today. My weight is 15 lbs and 2 oz. I'm sooooooo big!!!

Teething

Well I drool tons and I love cold teething rings. As of now there are no teeth but I think it will be soon!!

Grandma and me

Grandma Mitchem came up to watch me one evening when Mom and Dad went to wine and cheese party at a friends house....thanks Grandma, I had lots of fun!!!

Me and My Highchair

So this is my new Highchair. I really like it, it puts me on the same level as mom and dad. Not only is it good for feeding me but I just like to play there too!!

asleep in the sun

Ok, on this day, Mom and Dad were in the kitchen making lunch and I was happily playing on my mat in the sun. The next thing I knew I was out like a light....laying in the sun feels so good, but when I woke up I had no idea what had happened...I've never fallen alseep in mid-play before.

Dad is starting me early....I already have my first surfboard....check me out. Even the Foofy went surfin with us.

Any suggestions?

Ok, we are having some issues on the homefront....an almost 4 month old is pushing us around!!! Even after starting cereal she is still only sleeping 2-4hrs at a time in the evenings. I'm not convienced she is hungry, I just don't think she possess the skills to soothe herself back to sleep. Right when I pick her up, she'll go right back to sleep. I tried the letting her cry it out a few times now and I just can't stand it!! I feel like she will lose her trust in us if we just let her cry at every nap time and bedtime. We do have nighttime rituals in place and though they help, she still doesn't go down without a fight and then we have her waking several times through the night because she can't comfort herself. Any suggestions are welcome.....what did other people do????

Standing

This is me today standing soosoo tall ( infact, greater than the 97th percentile) on my friend Emilys lap. I'm so big you can't even see Emily. While I was playing, dad was playing Guitar Hero...hes not too bad, but Russ is better.

Making new sounds

I learned how to make fart sounds with my tounge.....anything to create more drool!!!

BAT

I got a new bat toy and boy is it tasty!!!

Learning to eat

I know, I know, its too early to start feeding the baby, but after several nights in a row of only letting mom sleep 2hrs at a time she finally had it and her and dad decided it was time for cereal. This is me eating cereal for the first time. "What is this?????" Because mom and dad gave me this forign substance I made a huge mess for them to clean up!! Reading

Usually mom or dad does the reading to me but today I decided to read to them. I'm really learning how to reach out with my hands and grab things....in fact I can finally reach my feet!! I'm not sure what they are for but they are fun to pull on.

Taking a walk

The other day it was 65 degrees.....in Janurary, so we took advantage of the wonderful day and all of us took a walk. I did very well, I loved looking around and taking in all in. However about half way through the walk it was to much for me and I had to crash the rest of the way.

Daddys Birthday

Well, daddy was on call on his birthday, so we took him a cake at work....he really liked seeing us during the day. This picture was taken around New Years....I wish I could sit on my own, but this will have to do for now.

Tummy time

This is me playing with santa....and guess what I did on Christmas eve..........I rolled over for the first time. Mom and dad thought it was a fluke, but then I did again two more times on Chirstmas day.....I'm such a big girl.

Luke and ME

Luke held me soooo much...he does a great job with me, in fact, he even rocked me to sleep.....not even all the adults can do that!!! I know he loves me very much. I will miss him when we move to Oregon, but I know I can visit him and he can visit me.

PRESENTS!!!! Yeah, not so interested this year, and next year I'l l probably only like the boxex, but it was still fun. This is me and my Aunt Lisa playing on christmas morning. And this is also a picture of Aunt Lisa, my cousin Luke, and lisas boyfriend RT. They all took turns holding me and playing with me.....Check out the bow on my head.....Mom was afraid it was going to pull out what little hair I have when we took it off, but it didn't.

Christmas at the Mitchems

This is me Christmas morning with the Mitchem family. Grandma and I played a lot this week and she got me jabbering up a storm!!! I really like making sounds and hearing my voice.

Using my gymnastic jumparoo

This is Serena at almost 3 months of age getting in her jumparoo for the first time!! She LOVES it!! Look mom, I can stand and move on my own!!
