Sand tastes Yuckie!!

We went to the park again today and of course we had to swing. But then we played in the sand for the first time. She loved the way it felt on her hands and feet, but not so much how it felt on her tounge!! It was a beautiful day in good 'ol missouri....we are sure gonna miss it here!!

Looking all Summery

This is another new Spring outfit that Little Miss is sporting. This one is from Grandma Mitchem. She is such a happy baby!!

My day with Bridgette

This past Sunday we had an open house so we couldn't be there...so "little Miss" and mom went to Bridgettes house for a few hours and played with her and her kiddos, Jessie and Sopie. We had great fun at the park and just hanging out...Thanks Bridgette for having us!!

Cute as a Ladybug!!

I love this crawling outfit, it is so cute! Thank you Grandma Sweeney!

Swimming Lessons

Last week we started swimming lessons. Serena loves the water but the class is from 530-600 and she is use to going to bed at 7pm. So to say the least, on swim nights we don't get to bed until 8pm. On this particular day, she had napped very poorly all day, so by the time we got to lessons somebody was a Crab Monster!! But we pushed though and made through most of the lesson. She is the only one in her class so we get lots of one on one attention. Don't worry, this is not one of those classes you just let them go and have them fight to swim....we don;t even put her head under!! Its just to get her use to the water. Normally she really enjoys it.

Lookin cute in my summer clothes

Just being cute in her new summer outfit!!

Lovin' the park

Everyday (if weather is ok) we take a walk, and on that walk we pass a park, and at that park we must stop to swing!! This is why, I can't refuse her the joy she has from swinging.

MY TEETH HURT!

So far Serena has her 2 bottom teeth and boy oh boy are they sharp!! She went ahead and took a bite out of mom...not very nice, but we are quickly learning the meaning of the work "NO".

Happy Baby

Now this is just a happy smiling baby, thats what we want to see.

WOW---Now thats a Mitchem look!!

That is a typical Mitchem expression!! But oh, so very cute!

Enjoying Spring

We are loving the weather here the past week or so. Serena really loves the daily walk, swinging, and just exploring the outside world. It is such a joy to watch her discover new things around her and explore the world.

Dad is my Trampoline

Serena loves to jump and dad is the best thing to jump on because he gives her extra oooph and throws her in the air...enjoy this video.

Help I'm stuck

Serena is all over the place in her crib now. This is how I found her after a nap one afternoon. She didn't seem to mind at all.

Looking at me

Rachel bought this mirror for Serenas crib in hopes of helping Serena to like her crib....its working, she loves the mirror.

More pics and video of baby on the move!!

On the MOVE

This has been a very busy month for miss Serena....learning lots of new things!! She got her first tooth on April 8th (the left botton one). She has started pulling up in her crib or on you, her balance is not good but she can do it. She is also getting to all fours and rocking....the cat is her inspiration for this....she wants foofy!!. OH, she can also put her own pacy in her mouth, the right way....finally. April 22ed we start swimming lessons.....I know she will love it!! So the picture of her in the shelf is what now happens when you walk out of the room, you find her in the weirdest places!!! I forgot to mention we painted for the first time also!!

While in Portland...

While we were in Portland house hunting we were able to go out to dinner one night with Chi and Alison for some great seafood!! It was really good to see them again, soon we will be able to see them a lot more often.

Ending spring break

We ended spring break by bbqing in the backyard. Rachel and Calie came over to join in the fun, then after dinner, Rachel, Sean and Luke all played World of Warcraft together. LUke was wore out by that night. THe next day we drove him back to Columbia to celebrate his birthday with the family. Then "little miss" had her first bath in the BIG bath tub....she loved it!

More spring break fun

We also went to Paradise Park where Luke attempted the Rock wall and did a great job! Him and Sean also had great fun in the foam factory.

Spring Break

Our nephew, Luke, spent some of his spring break here with us...it was also his 8th birthday, so he was spoiled all week long!! Here are some picts from the week. When he got here we had an easter egg hunt, then we went to Pump It Up, went out to eat at Tom Fooleries where he had the Dump Truck dessert and stuffed himself silly!! We went to Science City and Sean and him rode the bike. Serena kept up with everything but we were all wore out by the end of the week.
